My dear friend Lauren married Joe this past weekend in Napa and I wanted to share a couple of photos I took during the event. She was absolutely stunning! Tim Halberg photographed her wedding and did a great job! He and his wife Cheryl were so easy going and took beautiful pictures! Check out some they took of Lauren and Joe at http://blog.halbergphotographers.com.

Congratulations Lauren and Joe!

Let Me Show You

This is my first blog entry.

A few days ago, I started to think why I wanted a blog on my website.  What did I have to say that my photos could not?  I started asking people for suggestions of topics and one of my friends even told me there were classes on writing good blogs… Well, if you haven’t figured it out by this point, I haven’t taken one of those classes yet.

For my first entry, I thought perhaps I could write about why I love photography, portraits especially.  I could mention how I love showing mothers how beautiful their lives are when sometimes they only see chaos.  Or I could write about how I love becoming emotionally invested in and ultimately friends with all my wedding clients.  But I think my photographs will always show my passion better than my words ever will.

I thought about discussing the equipment I use, my favorite lenses and so on and perhaps even my favorite Photoshop tricks.  I had this elaborate thought about making an analogy to how my lenses are all different “points of view” and relate that to life somehow… but pretty quickly decided against that.

And then it came to me. I want to write this blog for my clients.  They’ve shared some aspect of their lives with me, and for that I’m grateful.  I feel honored to be a part of their weddings, their journey’s through pregnancies and ultimately their families.

For my headshot clients, the same holds true.  They allow themselves to be honest and sometimes vulnerable around me. They see beyond the camera in a way.  I will always love shooting headshots, and with a background of nearly twelve years in the business, I know how hard it is to be behind the camera.

So, this blog will feature my latest clients, from weddings, to families and portraits, to show to the world all the beauty I see in people, because more often than not, they rarely see it themselves.

So let me show you…

The following pictures are from Jamie & Matt Fowler’s wedding, The Moats family in San Diego and the Rayes family…
